After installing a stamped and colored concrete driveway in Minnetonka, Minnesota, Matt Villella of Concrete Science in nearby Corcoran was approached by his client's neighbor and complimented on a job well done. As luck would have it, during the conversation the man asked if Villella did epoxy work. He said yes and the talk turned to something the man had always wanted: a wall-to-wall penny floor.

"After sorting the pennies into color schemes, I put every penny heads up and facing the same direction, feeling the light would glint off the surface in a pleasing manner. I glued each penny down with caulking, being careful to only put enough to adhere the penny to the existing tile. I then selected an earth tone grout to fill in all the nooks and crannies. After letting it dry thoroughly for a week, I used a UV poly resin to finalize and seal the floor."
