A comparison that will make many a Vancouverite cringe or even break down in tears. Where do I even start? On the left in the old picture is the now demolished Birks Building, a fabulous old building that gave way to the current low-rise building that is now a London Drugs. The clock that was situated there pictured in the above photo, was moved when Birks eventually moved out of their new replacement building that replaced the old Birks Building (now L-Drugs). If that makes any sense…

Gotta dig the Studio Theatre sign across the street (917-919 Granville Street) which was showing "Blow Up" a very cool film from 1966. And those funky street lamps, just how many times was the lighting & street furniture changed on this street? Mid block pedestrian lights, the trees are gone now.
