This Small Jack Stack is approximately 9 1/2" tall. The bottom jack is dyed burnt orange, the middle witch is dyed green while the top ghost is painted white. Each different fall face is hand crafted It comes with a unique wood biscuit base and raffia. This extra-large Chinese Bottle gourd has been transformed by the artist, Gloria Faith Nobrega, into an exceptional eight-legged piece of art. The gourd measures 36” around the bottom and the big guy’s head is 15 ½” around. After the octopus was wood-burned and carefully hand painted to convey the mollusk’s detail, the remaining unpainted gourd was stripped of its outer layer, then carved (stippled). This is a big guy! Such a cute decoration for Halloween...just a touch of spook for the little ones. 😉 This is a very tall gourd, a foot and half tall at 18"! Not much clay either, just enough to stabilize the bottom. I like when I have a design that relies heavily on the shape of the gourd, and not on the sculpture additions.
