Today’s #SundaySkills focuses how to do a back handspring which is a skill used in gymnastics and cheerleading. Please note that any attempt of a back handspring should take place with a professional coach in a setting with adequate mats.

Repost @aldinadolixmoves BACK FLEXIBILITY 💕 with the help of the wall’s resistance you will notice a way deeper stretch, which means results are quicker. :) i myself am a big fan of using walls when working on my flexibility, because it not only gives you a greater result, but it’s also more comfortable to use, than most other props. 😅

Working on back flexibility is essential in my opinion, as it enables me to perform some advanced poses (handstand scorpio, hollowbacks, forearm stand backbends, etc). Here are my 4 favorite exercises for a flexible back!

Don’t forget to save it for later 💌

1. LOCUST POSE
2. BOW POSE
3. KING COBRA POSE
4. LOW LUNGE BACKBEND

Do each exercise between 45 and 60 seconds, 3 to 4 sets (or until you feel your body open up and you’re more comfortable). I would recommend doing this routine 2 to 3 times a week. Be consistent and you will quickly see results 🤍
