The S211AX jean is made of Samurai's custom natural indigo denim which has a slubby feel and look to it combined with a very deep indigo color due to the natural indigo. This level of texture in denim is something Samurai has been doing before most Japanese brands and has been a hallmark of the brand since its inception in 1997. These come in Samurai's straight tapered fit and have a comfortable top block, a medium level of taper below the knee, and a medium/high rise.

The 40s Redcast is crafted from highly textural denim, featuring yarn slubs in both the warp and weft. This combination creates a striking blend of crosshatch and marble textures. Adding to its vintage feel are small cotton ”neps”—tiny bundles of white cotton fibers—that introduce an extra layer of texture. The denim’s medium-dark indigo shade, accentuated by a distinct redcast, is the result of pure indigo dye and precise absorption during the dyeing process.
