Even among the artists of the sosaku hanga art movement, Ono Tadashige's art works are beyond any of the common artistic patterns. His print subjects, showing often ugly industrial scenes are gloomy, dismal, cheerless, kind of morbid, even depressing. Nevertheless the woodblock prints by the artist are in good demand and not cheap.
