But most importantly it represents a lot of similar traditions - out with the old and in with the new, sweeping the house of any bad luck and welcoming all things good fortune for the future. I never had much of an opportunity to celebrate this holiday apart from when I was a kid and managed to go to Hong Kong for some of it.
