Mad Max Fury Road | Previs, Felix Jorge
Fury Road! Man this was a fun one :D . Worked at Dr. D for 4 months in Australia. The Third Floor provided a hotel for the time I was there. I was heavily involved in the design of the Citadel. How the gears worked, how many workers it would take to lift a vehicle, etc. I also worked on the technicalities of the Sand Tornado Storm. I would work with Andrew Jackson (vfx Supervisor) most of the time, and then have meetings every month with George Miller.

Mad Max Fury Road DMP | Citadel view plus matte paint reel, Jacek Irzykowski
Vimeo reel shows selection of my dmp shots created during Fury Road production. Nearly all the sequences required Nuke 3d set up and camera projections. The usual workflow would start with simple geo created for projections in Maya. This would be then brought to Nuke together with texture information and tracked cameras which would be used for projections. Mari was integral tool as very often we had to correct projections artifacts. Some shots shown in the reel required painting over…
