The South Falls Lodge was constructed using local materials by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in 1940/41. Silver Falls State Park is one of the jewels of the Oregon State Park System. The highlight of the Park is the 9 mile long Trail of Ten Falls, which is a spectacular National Recreation Trail that was constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the 1930's.
