Ed McCully was studying law when he dropped out to begin a Christian ministry. He and Jim Elliot shared a radio broadcast. He studied dentistry and topical diseases, then went to Ecuador to participate in missionary work. In 1955 he joined Jim Elliot's efforts to reach the Auca Indians. He died on January at their hands.
