Happy Easter! This is "The Resurrection of Christ" by Danish painter Carl Bloch. Although his parents wanted him to become an officer in the Navy, Carl Bloch studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Art. His early work featured rural scenes of everyday life. He was later commissioned to produce 23 paintings for the Chapel at Frederiksborg Palace. These scenes from the life of Christ would become his most famous work.
