Fog gives this photo an ethereal quality. Fog is transparent and opaque at the same time. Second Beach, Olympic National Park, Washington Coast Fog drifted through the shoreline trees and hills, producing a constantly changing landscape. There are so many compositions that are possible in these situations. I try to find a composition that expresses the essence of a place at that point in time. Photo © copyright by Stephen Penland.
