The secret is the juices from the kimchi jar and a good dollop of gochujang, that magical spicy Korean paste you can get "everywhere" these days. To add protein, cook raw prawns/shrimp or fish pieces in the broth (only takes 3 min), or top with slices of BBQ pork. You can also poach chicken in the broth using this foolproof method.

One of the most classic Korean stews!

This quick and easy tteok mandu guk (Korean Rice Cake Soup with Dumplings) is made with a savory warm and comforting broth, plump and chewy rice cakes and delicious Korean dumplings.

This cold ramen is normally eaten in the summer but I ate it in a restaurant the other day and re-created this. If you have zero point tofu, this is for you. This light version is 8 point plus 1 point back on Weight Watchers for adding extra cucumbers. I used Konjaki/Shirataki noodles which are 0 points.

Galbitang is a Korean short rib soup with tender beef and aromatic vegetables in a rich, clear broth. This recipe offers Instant Pot or stovetop options. For the best flavor, prepare it a day ahead.
