"15th century church in Heiligenblut, Austria" by lreed76 on Flickr - This village had great wealth early-on because it sat astride the main north-south trade route across the Alps. it's really a small town to have such a spectacular church - and apparently enough of a backwater by the 17th century that it avoided the "baroque-ization" of so many old churches in Austria and Bavaria. It is a really spectacular church in an unbelievably scenic locale.
