Plot Event #3: Ponyboy and Johnny walk home after watching the movie. They lay down in and doze off. Ponyboy awoke with a start and creeped back to his house. He was surprised to see Darry and Soda waiting for him. Darry got into a heated fight with Ponyboy. In the end Darry slaps Ponyboy. Upset, he runs outside and meets Johnny. They decide to take a walk. This is important to the plot because during the walk they are attacked, and they kill a soc. Then they are forced to run away.
