A Union Pacific C40-8/C36-7 combo pull a Long Beach export coal empty into Provo Yard the evening of April 13, 1990. The steel hoppers will be interchange delivered to the Utah Railway who will dispatch it east to the Wattis Plateau loading facility in Carbon County, Utah. On the left, an IPP coal train, loaded on the Rio Grande at Skyline (also in Carbon County), will soon depart on the Provo Sub for the Intermountain Power generating station near Lynndyl.
