Brian Davies Memorial Exhibition

This exhibition is to celebrate the life and work of Brian Davies. His paintings were inspired by the seventeenth century tradition of Dutch still life or 'nature morte' – painting texture, light and surface in intricate detail and communicating the message of the brevity of life. Allied to an early interest in Surrealism, it was to these two traditions that Brian dedicated his life’s work.
