When I saw this pin, memories came flooding back from my childhood days. My grandmother always had hard candy sitting out in candy dishes. I always had my favorite colors/flavors too. Good Christmas memories for sure.

ICEE - I remember walking to the to get an ICEE and a bag of penny candy when it was still a penny. I also remember them swapping the ICEE machine for a Slush Puppie machine. I still prefer an ICEE over a slush.

A lost bar of chocolate was a rather alcoholic rum and raisin slab called Cadbury’s ‘Old Jamaica’. This consisted of raisins seeped in old Jamaican rum sandwiched in Cadbury’s chocolate very grown up and absolutely gorgeous! 9 pence a bar!

Old fashioned traditional retro sweets

Loved Old Jamaica chocolate bars launched in 1970, much better than the copies nowadays!

UK - Bassett's - Jelly Babies candy box - 1970's to early 1980's

They're Doctor Who's favorite (well, Tom Baker's Doctor Who, anyway), and this box might well come from that Doctor's era. I think this box dates to the late 70's, but could be an early 80's example. I simply not certain. Still it's great to have one that might well be the kind the Doctor himself might have fancied.
