This "Goodbye Letter" outline can be a great tool for a child to get out what they want to say before a loved one dies. A child may feel speechless and unsure how to proceed so going over these prompts with another adult beforehand may make them feel confident enough to express their feelings. They may not even have to give this letter to the loved one directly but it can open up other conversations and though processes.

This grief activity involves writing a letter to your deceased loved one using this free letter template. This exercise can be incredibly therapeutic.
