Rum, mint and Prosecco, the Old Cuban cocktail is a twist on a classic Mojito and guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Cheers!

You can use good Prosecco (Italian sparkling wine) rather than Champagne for this recipe, and quite honestly, you'd never know the difference. Also, you get great results from puréed peaches or even strawberries instead of pomegranates, but I always think it's best to stick to what's in season.

There's one really good reason to make this – chocolate! It's what makes the world go round, especially for my girls, they'd go mad for this. You can make it a few days before then just pimp it up with the accompaniments at the last minute. This is also a good one to do with the kids, as they can get involved in all the prep.

This is the simplest recipe in the world and possibly one of the best Champagne cocktails I've ever tasted. A great way to start a summer dinner or party.

This Champagne cocktail looks proper posh, tastes out of this world and is an absolute doddle

This pudding is delicious and, because you are making the ice cream yourself, great for dinner parties. Don't worry though, you'll see it isn't at all difficult to make. If you are really short of time, you can leave the homemade ice cream and opt for a good-quality, shop-bought vanilla ice cream instead. PS You HAVE to go for full-fat yoghurt in this recipe or you'll get loads of ice crystals and it won't taste as nice

The amazing ice cream makes this banoffee sundae great for parties and it's a doddle to make

Smoothies are not only deliciously tasty but they're also perfect to have for breakfast, as they're full of goodness. Adding oats and nuts to them is great, because it helps slow down the absorption of the sugar from the fruit into your bloodstream, which gives you more energy for longer. The great thing about frozen fruit is that it's been picked at its best, at the right time, and hasn't been forced to grow out of season, like so much of the

You can use virtually any type of juice for jelly but clementines are delicious this time of year.

Christmas in a glass. You can use virtually any type of juice for jelly but clementines are delicious this time of year.

I recently had this fantastic drink at my mates Arthur and Jamie's restaurant (Acorn House in London, worth a visit). Not only was it a refreshing start to our meal, but it also reflected the rhubarb season brilliantly. You can buy some half-decent sparkling wines and Proseccos with reasonable price tags these days, so this recipe makes you feel like you're having a bit of affordable luxury. It's based on the classic bellini, which is made by mixing Prosecco or Champagne with a peach purée…

Smoothies are usually the easiest way of encouraging your kids to try different types of fruit. Simply decide on a good combination of flavours, whiz it all up and drink! Kids will love to get involved with making these as well because they can chuck it all in and blend it up themselves. Once they know what to do, put them in charge of making smoothies for the whole family at breakfast time.
