3 Book Covers Project

The task is to design three book covers using the style of one designer, or three different designers.

My final design using David Carson's design style. I am satisfied with the outcome, I think the quote is still legible, although I broke many typographical rules, like Carson's style.

Another font that I tried, but wasn't satisfied with it. I decided to stick to Franklin Gothic for my font.

My final C1 and C4 for Bradbury Thompson's book cover. All three covers are consistent with the same "Design Masters" title, to imply that they are a part of a series.

I really feel like the colors in this book cover work really well. The designer has used shades and tints to allow the speech bubble in the center to pop out. The black bar across the bottom also helps the colors stand out.

Here I was playing with different fonts for the quote. I didn't like how this looked with a single font. I also adjusted the image so that his eyes are clear of the type.

I completed the silhouette pattern by leaving just enough space in between each animal and not overcrowding them. I also began to experiment with different colors.
