This is a watercolour study of a peacock feather. I like how the artist uses the formal element of line to make an elegant and regal feather.

Repetition of what is being drawn, the colors being used, the fact that they are all sketches of the object. It is also repetition with the shape that the sketches are in, the same width apart from each other.

This is a great example of texture because you know what it feels like just by glancing it. You can feel the dried up leaf in your hand. Although it's not even a drawing of a leaf just a fragment you can still tell exactly what it is.
