A classic turned newel post, from what we believe is walnut, salvaged from a late 1800s staircase prior to demolition. This elegant post features an octagonal base with a gorgeous turned top. This piece has been cut out at the base to fit a step as shown in the photos. There are marks in the finish around the edges which is typical for a piece of this age.
