Filippo Tommaso Marinetti (1886-1974) ) was an Italian poet and editor, the founder of the Futurist movement. He authored "The Futurist Manifesto", which he wrote in 1909. It was published in French on the front page of the most prestigious French daily newspaper, Le Figaro, on 20 February 1909.
