Victorian Wire mesh bustle. The fashion for this wire mesh bustle came in the 1880s when the long skirt was pulled to the back and draped on top of this bustle. Adjustable one inch wide twill tape wraps around all but the largest waists with the 10-1/2" wide x 5" deep pre-formed wire mesh across the back stapled to the tape.
