The Falls of Yellowstone
This is a very famous waterfall in Yellowstone National Park. I was there smack dab in the middle of the day, which is just about the worst time to take photos. So be it, Jedi. I got out the old trusty and handy 200-400mm lens to take a shot. It's not that big. It'll fit right in your back pocket. (BTW, see my Nikon 200-400 Review for more). Call From Heaven - Yosemite National Park, California
In case you haven't read part one of the story behind the photos from Cathedral Lake and Peak, I recommend checking it out here! So there we are, Stephen Oachs and I, 150ft. above Upper Cathedral Lake, watching the clouds drifting by, while a yellow-bellied marmot named Chuck enjoys the last sun of the day on a large boulder just a couple of feet away from us. We had been to the LA area a few times, but we had never been north of Santa Barbara. She did not want to fly to the west coast by herself, so I went along. When we got into town late in the afternoon the first thing we did was drive across the Golden Gate Bridge. It was like we were in another reality; we had seen the…
Another from that balmy calm winter day. I really wanted to keep shooting this till the sun went in the water (7 minutes later) but there were about 5 other folks who wanted my spot so I gave in. No special effects here - just F20 making that star out of the sun I think. BTW, got caught by a "sneaker wave" a couple of minutes before. Should have learned this by now. I'm thinking boots or bare feet on my next beach outing duh.
