A pair of diamond and enamel anklets (sandals), Mughal or Deccani, late 19th century. Each ankle bracelet designed as a series of flexible pear-shaped links set with table-cut diamonds within foiled gold surrounds. The fringe is comprised of pear-shaped diamonds set in gold, surmounted by seed pearls. Note the red, green and white enamel reverse, no surface overlooked.
