Line is a key element used in this pattern majority very strong and short with not many long lines making the geometric shapes used clear and stand out. The secondary colours she chose to use are very pasty but by using black within the pattern makes them look less washed out. Black lines have been used to outline the shapes and colours.
Similarly to her other prints line is clearly used, The rectangular shapes all follow a diagonal line giving the feeling of movement also by mixing the horizontal and vertical shapes gives me the feeling of collision. Other then her use of rectangular shapes she uses other irregular geometric shapes within the rectangles.pink and purple where the only colours used which sit next to each other on the colour wheel but different shades of both colours giving the shapes in this piece some form.
There is a strong vertical line that goes through the middle of this patterns motif and then a horizontal line above/ bellow giving the illusion of both height and width. The main shape I see in he piece is diamond and also a oval shape. There is not a lot of space in the pattern however the little space which is left allows the shapes created to be clearer on the eye making the print very busy but still easy to follow. Only black and white was used for this pattern making it monotone.
