ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ - Guru Nanak Dev Ji - Rai Bhoe-ki Talwandi (15. April 1469 - 22. September 1539) - was the founder of Sikh religion and the first of the ten Gurus of the Sikhs. Guru Nanak made four great Spiritual journeys, travelling to all parts of India, Sri Lanka, Arabia and Persia. and successfully challenged and questioned the existing religious tenants. His birth is celebrated world-wide as Guru Nanak Gurpurab on Kartik Pooranmashi, the full-moon day in the month of Katak, October–November.
