Practical shelving makes the most of the alcove space in this living room, with a large space on the bottom shelf to store logs to fuel the traditional wood-burning stove. Light wooden flooring is teamed with a fresh white rug to match the sofa.
This reminds me of my first flat. Classic Victorian house interior with an original fireplace, books in the alcove. However I wasn't stylish enough to have those wonderfully chic grey walls with high white accents.
Scaffold board shelves I love this and means we could have bottom shelves deeper and whatever spacing we wanted BUT I don't trust the walls, the chimney breast is brick and a mess so think starting to drill in to it could end in disaster
