The Hazratbal Shrine, is a Muslim shrine in Hazratbal, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, India. It contains a relic, the Moi-e-Muqaddas, considered by many Kashmiri Muslims as a hair of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. The name comes from the word sanctuary Urdu Hazrat, meaning "respected" and the word Kashmiri ball, which means "place." So it means the place is given high regard and is respected among the people.
