"Catalpa Moth with Catalpa Tree"   the catalpa moth feeds on the foliage of the native catalpa tree. The female lays hundreds of eggs at a time. They can devour portions of the tree as they are an eating machine. Humans have used the caterpillars as bate in big mouth bass fishing. The symbiosis continues as humans become a part of the process. This piece is in the permanent collection at the Albany State Museum.
