'Drying Day' Amazing needle felted painting of Scotland by Scottish artist Moy Mackay (1966). From her home in the Scottish Borders, she fuels her passion for color and texture with an unceasing inspiration drawn from her surroundings in the beautiful Tweed Valley, using merino fleece fibres in the same way that a painter uses brushstrokes. The result is a 'felt painting' of extraordinary warmth and texture.

It's taken me a few days to write up my 'craft fair report' - ooops :) Here's a few shots from my stall . . . I had a pretty good day at the fair - enough sales to keep me happy and people were very complementary about my dispay, so that was nice :) I was glad I took my crochet hook and some yarn to make some crochet flowers during the quieter periods - sorted! :) Well, that's one under my belt - I hope to get a couple more cancellations over the Summer, if I'm lucky! Harris Tweed, fibre art, felted sheep textile pendant

Lovingly created by hand this is a new range to my Landscapes in Harris Tweed jewellery, inspired by the colours of the tweed fabric and the sheep and landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales. The pendant is made from recycled scraps of Harris Tweed handwoven in the Outer Hebrides from 100% pure wool and upcycled in the Yorkshire Wolds into textile jewellery. Fibre felted with some hand embroidery and embellished with tiny seed beads. This pretty pendant measures 3.5cm across x 5.5cm in height, it…
