Abandoned School 14_HDR

Andrew Wyeth: Looking Out, Looking In
This exhibition gathers together — for the first time — a select group of Wyeth’s images of windows. Included in the exhibition are watercolor studies quickly executed to capture a momentary impression as well as tempera paintings created over an extended period of distillation and simplification.
Andrew Wyeth lived in my hometown when I was young. We had several Wyeth prints in our home. Betsy Wyeth (wife) used to stop by my parents antique store - 13 Colonies Village Store - on Rt. 1. She even signed a Wyeth art book my Mom had. Always have loved his work.
