Deadly hunter - The largest eagle in the Kalahari, the Martial Eagle is one of the deadliest hunters of the Kalahari skies. With its excellent eyesight they can spot prey from up to five kilometers away. The eagle will circle high above in the sky riding the warm rising thermals and upon spotting a potential victim will dive sharply to catch their prey by surprise. It is a fairly opportunistic predator that varies its prey selection between mammals, birds and reptiles.

10 Spectacular Owl Photos You Have to See
This sharp-eyed, short-winged Northern Hawk Owl earns its name for its speedy, diurnal hunting style that's more in line with hawks and falcons. By pulling their wings in close against their bodies, the raptors maximize their speeds and surprise unsuspecting voles and deer mice scampering across the boreal forest floor.
