Sir Charles Cavendish (1620-1643). Son of The 2nd Earl of Devonshire and cousin to William Cavendish, Earl of Newcastle. Fought at Edge Hill and given command of the Duke of York's troop. Formed his own regiment of horse. Accompanied Henrietta Maria to Newark which he made his HQ. Took Grantham in March 1643 and killed at Gainsborough in July 1643.
