Iris Flocculis Central iris pigmented epithelial cysts may undergo cycles of collapse and reformation resulting in wrinkled masses called iris flocculi along the pupillary border. Even when large, these lesions typically do not result in visual impairment. Iris flocculi are usually sporadic but can be familial. They can rarely be associated with aortic aneurysms and dissections.
