She was born in Asthall Manor, Oxfordshire, England.
CHATSWORTH, the residence of the Dukes of Devonshire, is one of the most worthwhile day trips from London. The House is beyond words when one begins to describe an English Country House. Rooms after rooms are filled with the most magnificent collections. APOLLO did an article on the Baroque Delft collection gathered by the first Duke of Devonshire during the reign of William and Mary at the end of the Stuart Dynasty.
