~Blue Rose of Sharon!~
Happy Friday! :) My second favorite flowering bush or tree is the Rose of Sharon...l had my first flowers bloom yesterday. Despite the nasty weather we had l was excited.. :) Thanks so very much for your visits, they are very much appreciated. Two Blue for the Spirit, Kirstenbosch, South Africa
Agapanthus near the entrance to the famous and wonderful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens on the other side of Table Mountain from Cape Town. The blue is startling and it reminds one of the paintings by Claude Monet (1840-1926), the founder of French impressionism. Among his enormous oeuvre, there are some 250 paintings of water lilies and agapanthus. Bachelor's Button, also known as Cornflower (Centaurea cyanus). Photographed a few minutes after sunset in Shoreline Park in Mountain View, California.
