Ad for scarves by husband and wife Zika and Lida Ascher, the duo who would produce and provide printed and woven patterns for Balenciaga, Pierre Cardin, Dior, Givenchy, and Yves Saint Laurent among others.
Designed by sculptor Henry Moore, 1950's. Although best known for his sculptures, Moore was approached by Czech textile manufacturer Zika Ascher to create designs for scarves. Moore worked closely with Ascher, producing fabrics which were versatile and practical, yet remained vibrant works of art. More can be seen in the book "V and A Pattern - The Fifties" by Sue Prichard.
