India trip, day 13: several woman were washing clothes at the Udaipur Ghats -- a series of steps leading down to Lake Pichola.

It is a 459 km National Highway in Northern India that runs from Ambala through Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh up to Khab on the Chinese border.It continues north-east to Solan, and then north to Shimla, where it joins the NH 88. It is considered as one of the deadliest roads in India.

India -- carrying the laundry to the river to be washed by hand. These women may not have paid jobs, but no one ever better say they "don't work" -- in most countries, women work harder than anyone!

Women work hard, especially in the village scenario, from early morning till late night. To rear their children and run their family and have seen them doing ODD jobs for survival!!! On de contrary those from Urban areas spend most of their time blaming others n cursing their dear ones inability to buy new gadgets to make life easier.... they've maids for kitchen,servants for gardening, modern equipments ............... Life n de village front differ a LOT ..... ...
