I had several requests to make real-life horses from images, so finally after computer troubles and an ice-storm that killed our power for almost a week, I'm finally getting around to making them!

The Akhal-teke breed are famous for the golden shimmer of their coat. They are thoroughbreds (like English thoroughbreds and Arabians) and originate from Turkmenistan. The breed is thought to be over 2000 years old and is one of the very earliest horse breeds known.

This is what my "white boy" Silver Shadow Hawk looked like! He is pure white with blue eyes and is a Registered Breeding Stock American Paint Horse Association horse. He now (since belongs to the Shriners White Horse Patrol in Sioux City, Iowa.
