"Corinna," the subject of the oil portrait from Michael Connors Antiques, is "like an apparition passing through the dining room," says Bell. The dining table was copied from an American antique at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It was faux-grained by artist Lindsey Tipler, who also painted the faux-mahogany finish on the clients' wheelback chairs and the octagonal table in the foyer between the dining room and study.
