"Confront a child, a puppy, and a kitten with sudden danger; the child will turn instinctively for assistance, the puppy will grovel in abject submission, the kitten will brace its tiny body for a frantic resistance." Hector Hugh Munro aka- Saki
Vladimir Nabokov is my all-time favorite author. His writing is so powerful it seems almost alien. I absolutely adore his "Lectures on Literature." To me, Nabokov's writing is NEON NIRVANA in a black and white world.
J.G. Ballard remains the author I look up to most of all. He has succeeded in creating a parallel literary landscape, entirely different from everything else, and possessed an uncanny eye for the events of the near future. With titles like "The Atrocity Exhibition", "Rushing To Paradise", "The Day Of Creation" and "Vermilion Sands" he shows no sign of abandoning my life. Some books stay on their shelves but their initial appeal fades. J.G. Ballard remains powerful as ever.
