The leaves of Arctostaphylos coloradoensis are uniformly oriented, leathery little paddles, coming off of mahogany colored, smooth branches. The first time I encountered it wild, we spent an inordinate amount of time sketching it, taking photos and trying to harvest samples of its wild-ass, gnarly branches. You just can't conceive of it without seeing mature specimens "live." This is a super worthy plant to grow :)
Minette is one of the most eye-catching basils you will ever see! It creates perfect 10-inch spheres of bright green that stay compact and uniform all season. Minette is perfect for edging, miniature knot gardens, or in containers. Pick the flavorful leaves and use fresh or dried in tomato dishes, pasta sauces, vegetables and soups.
