Back in May, Simon’s father Len Coller, the founder of Park Furnishers sadly died.  Simon wanted to do something to commemorate his father’s life and at the same time raise money for the appeal.  Jonny came up with the idea of pulling a bed (The first item sold by Park Furnishers) 45 miles around the Bristol Area calling at various locations around the city that meant something to his grandfather. To make it more of a challenge they set out to do it in less than 24 hours.

Around 100 people turned up to give the trio a tremendous send off including Radio Bristol’s breakfast presenter, Steve Le Fevre, who then followed the progress of the trio during his show the following morning.

On the return to Park Furnishers the team celebrated in style with plenty of champagne.  The best bit of all is that they smashed their target of raising £4,500.

This is probably a good time to thank our friends at Bowberry Fair for doing the hog roast.  It is no mean feat to serve over 500 pork rolls each evening in just under 3 hours.
