Back in May, Simon’s father Len Coller, the founder of Park Furnishers sadly died. Simon wanted to do something to commemorate his father’s life and at the same time raise money for the appeal. Jonny came up with the idea of pulling a bed (The first item sold by Park Furnishers) 45 miles around the Bristol Area calling at various locations around the city that meant something to his grandfather. To make it more of a challenge they set out to do it in less than 24 hours.
Around 100 people turned up to give the trio a tremendous send off including Radio Bristol’s breakfast presenter, Steve Le Fevre, who then followed the progress of the trio during his show the following morning.
Simon Coller and other members of his family are going to pull a bed 45 miles in 24 hours as part of Park Furnishers 45 Appeal in aid of St Peter's Hospice. Simon is one of the sons of Len Coller, the founder of Park Furnishers, who sadly passed away in April. To commemorate his father, Simon and his family are going to pull the bed to various points in the Bristol area that were landmarks in Len Coller's life.
