Here is my latest ready-to-print and hand-out grade 5 science project on forces. In this project, students are expected to research an existing structure (preferably a bridge or a tower of some sort), to analyze the forces acting upon it and to re-create their own model of that structure using recycled material.
Labor day weekend is here, which means beach trips, barbecues, and back to school. Here are some fun sound experiments parents and teachers can use to get their youngster's brains working hard again- and they're also a lot of fun!
Here is my tried, tested, ready-to-print and hand out cross-curricular Grade 5 science project. This project links science with art, drama, and media literacy! The task: students are to create their very own toy made out of (preferably) recycled material using one of the forms of energy studied in class.
Sciences 5e année: la matière/ Grade 5 Science: Matter
Here is my tried and tested cumulative grade 5 science project on Matter. I love this project because it gets students to experiment hands-on with the scientific method and with various concepts related to matter that we have already learned in class.

La poésie: une introduction (5 à 7e années); An introduction to poetry

This booklet is part of my series on "les determinants". In this booklet students will explore possessive determinants in French. I have included explanation pages, six exercise sets, a quiz, and an answer key. I have personally tried and tested this resource with my French immersion classes.
I absolutely love this cross-curricular assignment I give to students. It is an excellent way to get both oral and written marks and to teach presentation skills and persuasive writing- all while integrating the Science or Social Studies curriculum into French.
