The "Futuro House" in Rockwall, Texas, as photographed by Steve Rainwater. The Futuro House was a prefabricated house designed by Finnish architect Matti Suuronen, of which fewer than 100 were built during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Roughly 60 survive tody. Campisi's Egyptian Lounge opened in 1946 by Joseph Campisi. Heralded as having connections to organized crime, Joe Campisi visited with Jack Ruby in jail after he assassinated Lee Harvey Oswald. A long time favorite for their famous pizza, I would see Mr. Campisi sitting in his office when I went there in my High School years.
