The second link in the "External Links" section of the Wikipedia page for this book has the "Reader's Digest" version of Hayek's book -- if you don't have the time, inclination, or cash to buy and read the full text, this is an excellent alternative to get Hayek's arguments.
The government can look through your child's lunchbox and decide that they know better than you how to feed your child. They can also then charge you for the lunch they substitute. What's particularly galling about this story is they substituted chicken nuggets(?) for a turkey sandwich.
