Art for Small Hands: Printing Repeats - The children cut animal figures from styrofoam and print them repeatedly on collages made with tissue paper. For ages 9 to 13. Plan for 3 sessions. Look at the greats; no child is too young for art history. Look at the world; learning to make art is learning to see and find pleasure in details. Exploring Eric Carle.
Kinders created these beautiful watercolor paintings that represent the old saying, "Home is where the heart is". Kinders learned how to center the word "Home" just like a commercial artist would do on a poster. They worked diligently to draw their "Hearts". The young artists were allowed complete freedom in designing their own homes. They did a fantastic job!
